ABOUT LR MEDIA INITIATIVE
Telling Stories That Inform, Empower, and Transform Communities
Established in 2020 as DSR Media, LR Media Initiative Ltd began as a community-focused media organization dedicated to using media and storytelling to promote awareness, education, advocacy, and social inclusion. In October 2024, the organization formally rebranded as LR Media Initiative Ltd, expanding its operations and impact.
LR Media Initiative reinvests income from media and creative services, together with donor support, into sustainable, community-driven programs that promote dignity, resilience, and long-term social impact through media, communication, and digital innovation.
LR Media Initiative operates in accordance with the Constitution of Uganda (1995, as amended) and aligns its programs with Uganda’s National Development Plans, the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors committed to transparent, ethical, and accountable leadership.
