LR Media Initiative Ltd, is deeply committed to protecting client’s and partner’s privacy and the personal data entrusted to it. In line with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, the organization upholds strict standards in how we collect, use, and store information, ensuring that data is handled lawfully, transparently, and with respect.
We only collect personal information that is relevant and necessary, always with informed consent. This may include information for program participation, newsletters, event registration, or volunteering. Participants always know how and why their data is collected, and they have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of their information at any time.
Data security is important to us. We employ secure digital systems, limited access controls, and vetted third-party service providers where needed, all of whom are required to meet equivalent data protection standards. We do not sell or misuse data. We also follow special safeguards for handling information involving minors and cross-border data transfers.
LR Media Initiative retains data only for as long as necessary and in compliance with applicable legal requirements. We encourage clients who have concerns about how their data is being used or wish to exercise their rights under the Data Protection Act, to contact us directly at info@lrmediainitiative.org or file a formal complaint with the National Personal Data Protection Office (NPDPO).
